Through the Accelerated Reader program students
are encouraged to read using an extensive list that
is unique for each grade level. After reading their
book the children take a computerized test to check
for comprehension. Each book read earns the child
points.

REWARDS
This is a PTA sponsored program and the rewards
are determined yearly. However, rewards are based
on how many points a child earned by reading. Often
classrooms and individuals are recognized for their
reading efforts. At McAnnulty we know reading is
essential for academic growth.
