Boxtops
for Education
Parents,
grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends!
Are you cutting your Boxtops?!?!?!?!?
Every Boxtop is worth much-needed money
for many schools, like McAnnulty Elementary.
Since 1996,
Box Tops has helped America’s schools raise
over $100 million to buy the things they need. The
Box Tops for Education program offers an easy way
to earn cash for our school through an everyday
activity - shopping online. School budgets are tighter
than ever, and McAnnulty Elementary is asking for
the support of families and community members like
you.
Helping
our school is so easy! Simply join the Box Tops
Booster Clubsm at boxtops4education.com for the
exclusive benefit of shopping online at the Box
Tops for Education Marketplace. Remember to start
every online shopping trip through links at the
Box Tops Marketplace to earn cash for our school.
We have over 200 of your favorite stores including
JCPenney and Lands’ End. Our school will receive
up to 8% of every qualifying purchase.
For more
information on how you can help our school earn
cash through Box Tops for Education, contact Nicole Traud, McAnnulty’s Box Tops coordinator,
or visit boxtops4education.com.
Campbell’s
“Labels for Education”
McAnnulty PTA is again participating
in the Campbell’s “Labels for Education”
program. Just look for the “Labels for Education”
logo on participating products (including Campbell’s
soups, Pace salsas, Prego, Franco American, Swanson,
and Pepperidge Farm products) then clip the labels
or UPC codes and drop them off in the collection
box in the school lobby. We can earn a variety of
points, which can be redeemed for supplies (playground
equipment, chalk, etc.) for our school. Every little
bit helps!!
Giant
Eagle “Apples for the Students”
The Giant Eagle Apples for the Students
program will begin October 1, 2004 through March
31, 2005. The program is very easy to use... Instead
of collecting receipts, school supporters like you,
will donate their spending electronically through
the Giant Eagle Advantage Card. If you registered
to help McAnnulty last year, you will automatically
be registered this year. If you haven’t registered,
follow these simple steps:
1.) Register now at www.gianteagle.com or call
1-800-474-4777.
2.) Enter our School ID: 0663
3.) Then shop with your Giant Eagle Advantage
Card.
Each time the card is scanned, every purchase
you make will count towards free equipment for
McAnnulty. We will be purchasing new software
for the new computers by saving and redeeming
Box Tops. *Click

Elementary Emergency Calling System
The PTA Emergency Calling System is set
up and ready to go! If there is an emergency
early dismissal at McAnnulty Elementary School,
the system will be activated. No child attending
McAnnulty will be released from school unless
an adult is notified. The early dismissal
calling procedure will start with Mrs. Taiclet
notifying the school secretaries (Nancy Keib). They will call Karyn
Carr, the overall coordinator. She will call
the grade level coordinators. The grade level
coordinators will notify each room coordinator,
who will begin the calls for the classrooms.
The school personnel will set up calling trees
to cover those students whose parents have
not yet returned a participation slip.
We appreciate everyone
who volunteered to participate in setting
up and making calls for this procedure. We
hope it will not be necessary to institute
this calling system this year; however, we
plan to be prepared to ensure the safety of
our students.
Please remember
to listen to the radio and television stations
for school delays and cancellations. If you
have any questions, please contact McAnnulty's
office at 412-714-2020.
