Wacky Wednesday
In honor of Dr. Seuss and Read Across America, McAnnulty Elementary celebrated Wacky Wednesday on February 27th. As you can see, we had everything from mismatched clothes, backwards clothes, wacky hairstyles, and wacky hats. Thank you to all who participated in honoring one of our favorite authors.

Read Across America
On March 4th, in recognition of Read Across America, our friends from Harrison Middle School visited McAnnulty Elementary to take time to read a book to each classroom. We are very fortunate to have such fine young adults modeling an interactive read aloud. As easily seen in these pictures, they truly captured everyone's attention!

Books and Buddies
The First and Fifth Grade Buddy Reading Program is back in full force! Each First Grade class was assigned a Fifth Grade Buddy class from Whitehall. On Wednesday, February 27th our Whitehall Buddies visited McAnnulty. This concept of Teaming and Collaboration always proves to be a valuable learning experience for our McAnnulty Mates. The students worked together and shared important Reading strategies that enhance the Literacy Framework for each student. They are learning valuable tools that will help them to progress through the Language Arts Curriculum. This level of Teamwork demonstrates how learning is both a fun and rewarding experience!
