Sweet Shop Buddies
Students in Miss Pavelka's second grade class and Mrs. Vallus's first grade class worked together to make delicious gingerbread houses! First, the second graders planned what candy to buy in order to decorate their houses and still stay within their budget. Next, they pretended to spend $1.00 at the McAnnulty Sweet Shop in order to purchase all of their materials. Then, the two classes met and each student decorated a gingerbread house using the supplies. Finally, all students completed a sequence writing activity about building their houses. The houses look great!

Gingerbread Houses
The McAnnulty elves in Rooms 112, 120, 126 & 141 are busy getting there taste buds ready for the holiday season! Each room decorated a genuine gingerbread house. The gingerbread houses were created and baked by a McAnnulty family and they also donated all of the edible goodies and materials! The children enjoyed counting gumdrops, pretzels, peppermint candies, etc. so that their house looked just right!
