Bailey's Brigade
On Sunday, May 18, 2008, a group of McAnnulty students, along with their parents, participated in the Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Walk. Bailey O’Malley is a first grade student in Mrs. Hustava’s class. Bailey has Cystic Fibrosis. In support of Bailey, children and families in Room 120 pledged money and/or walked in the 10K walkathon. As the group got ready to walk, the cloudy skies brightened and not a drop of rain fell! Everyone agreed that it was a wonderful feeling to be a part of such a worthwhile event!

IT'S A JUNGLE OUT THERE!
On Friday, May 30, 2008 McAnnulty Elementary was alive with all types of sights and sounds of the jungle. This year's theme for McMay Day was "The Jungle". The day consisted of students visiting different "jungle" stations which included a presentation from the National Aviary, creating musical shakers, Ms. Verna McGinley's reptile display, jungle jigsaw, safari Relay, and a sno-cone treat to cool off from the effects of a long day of tropical fun!
